Oh 台湾美 Part 2

The weather was cool and it's almost like an 'air-conditioned' nation (LOL) except that you can't turn it off. But it was nice. Imagine the chills you get that you never get in Singapore.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and quite interesting, much like Jacky Wu, though Jacky Wu was more funny.
He talked quite alot about politics (since they're electing a new president now and it's not compulsory for them to vote), about karma and names.
And 13 strokes in a character apparently is very good. (Think Super Junior. Think Only 13!)
萬歲 萬歲 萬萬歲 is the best example.
9 and 4 too. (皇上)
Too bad my name don't have this configuration.
But the place he bought us to offered a free reading of name, and the lady said my name is a good name.
To put it in her words, 小妹有一点stubborn。很聪明,但是做事情往往半途而废。大福大贵可是生命里会缺一样东西,我也看不出是啥。
Super accurate, and now I know why the hell am I still single till today.
Haiz, it's fate.
I really, really like the architecture there, the flooring, the ceiling and the buildings.
Everything is like a piece of art.
So pretty, and the main reason why there really isn't much pictures with people inside, because that would blur the point of the photo. (though it would seem that I might have took the photos from internet without actually being there haha)
My favorite place in Taiwan...is actually 7-Eleven and Family Mart.
Because it's very cheap.
One bottle 600ml of malt tea in the chiller column cost only TWD18..which is around SGD$0.80!
Seriously, you can't find this in Singapore (the drink and the price).
I could buy from 7-Eleven everyday if it's cheap like Taiwan's.
The only thing I didn't get to try was 关东煮. ( I'm listening to that song now lol)
Food was awesome, and I love shopping in the night market (夜市).
Bought many clothes, a wallet, a bag and a pair of shoes.
And they are all so pretty.~~
TV programs are even better, they have over 80 channels?
Each channel has its purpose; for entertainment, for news or sports etc.
The thing is, it's like having Mio/Starhub cable except that it's free.
So jelly of the Taiwanese.
4,5 years ago? When I visited Taiwan for the first time, everywhere was playing Jay Chou's songs ( As he just released his new album...十一月的肖邦)
Now?
'Hey, I'm Mr Simple!'
Korean songs dominate the streets, even on the day of my visit was T-ara's arrival.
The power of K-pop.
LOL.
But I still do hear Jay's songs in some stores.
Taiwan is awesome!
